DUI Education and Consequences
George Bruch was asked to present a pre-deployment presentation to the Officers and crew of the USS Harry S. Truman on the dangers and consequences of drinking and driving. As a retired Master Chief Petty Officer, George was able to gain the respect and attention of his audience as he volunteered his time to give a presentation on the results and dangers that drinking and driving can lead to, and how drinking and driving affect the community. George also briefed the crew on the effects of receiving a DUI, including the legal and monetary consequences of receiving a DUI. And that not only the person charged with DUI has to deal with, but also how it may affect his or her family, job, insurance, and those injured if the DUI resulted in a crash. The message, Don’t Drink and Drive!
