The City of Chesapeake is in the South Hampton Roads area of Hampton Roads, located in Southeast Virginia just along the North Carolina border. It is the third-largest city by population in Virginia. The Great Dismal Swamp is in Chesapeake. Interstate 64 services Chesapeake, as well as US-58, US-13, US-17, and US-460. Much of Chesapeake is rural with lower speed limits than other cities.
