Hampton, Virginia is located at the end of the Peninsula in the Hampton Roads area. It is home to Hampton University, the Virginia Air and Space Museum, the Hampton Coliseum, and Langley Air Force Base. Interstate 64 runs through Hampton into the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel, which crosses the Chesapeake Bay and connects Hampton to Norfolk. Mercury Boulevard, Big Bethel Road, and US17 are other major roads that are in Hampton where police presence is heavy.
