Sussex County is a rural county located south of Richmond. Interstate 95, US 460, and US 301 run through Sussex. Located in Sussex County are the towns of Wakefield, Waverly, Jarratt, and Stony Creek. The roads in Sussex County are heavily patrolled. Many of the smaller towns have lower speed limits than on the major highways. People unfamiliar with the area will often be unaware of changing speed limits.
